Free AI Audit: What We Look For and What You Get Out of It

The free audit of your tech stack and processes is not a lead generation tactic dressed up as a free service. It is the actual first step of every engagement we take on. Every project we have built for a client started with one. Here is exactly what it covers and why it makes sense for us to offer it at no cost.
What the Audit Is
The audit is a review of how your business currently operates and what tools you currently use, with the goal of identifying where AI can realistically help and where it cannot.
It is not a software demo. It is not a presentation of our services. It is a structured review of your specific situation.
What We Look At
Your current processes. We want to understand how specific tasks are done today, not how they are supposed to be done on paper. The gap between documented process and actual practice is where most AI project requirements are misunderstood.
We typically focus on the two or three processes where the most time is being spent on manual, repetitive work. This might be customer enquiry handling, document collection, quoting, reporting, or compliance tracking, depending on your business type.
Your current tools. We review the software and platforms your team uses, including your CRM, your helpdesk, your website platform, your email and communication tools, and any industry-specific systems. The goal is to understand what data already exists in accessible form and what integrations are feasible.
Your data quality. Data is the raw material that AI runs on. We assess whether the data in your existing systems is complete enough, consistent enough, and structured enough to support an AI project. This is the assessment that most businesses skip and most freelancers skip, and it is the most common reason AI projects fail.
Your team and ownership structure. We ask who would own the AI system after it is built, who would be responsible for monitoring it, and what the team's capacity is for adopting a new tool. These factors affect what kind of system makes sense and how it should be introduced.
What You Get
At the end of the audit, you receive a written report that covers:
Whether you are ready to start an AI project now, or whether something needs to be addressed first.
If you are ready: the one or two processes where AI would deliver the most value for your specific business, and why.
A plain-language description of what a first project would involve, approximately how long it would take, and what it would cost.
If you are not ready: what specifically needs to be in place first, and a realistic estimate of how long that would take.
This is a document you can take away and act on independently. You are not obligated to work with us after receiving it.
Why It Costs Nothing
There are two reasons.
The first is that we cannot scope a project honestly without understanding the current state. A proposal written before an audit is based on assumptions rather than evidence. The audit is what makes it possible for us to give you a specific cost and timeline rather than a range so wide it is not useful.
The second is that we have found, consistently, that a well-run audit is the most effective way to demonstrate what working with us looks like. If the audit is thorough, honest, and useful, most clients want to continue. If it is not, they should not.
The NDA
If your data, client records, or internal processes contain sensitive information, we will sign a non-disclosure agreement before the audit begins. We do not look at anything until the NDA is in place if you want that protection. Just ask when you book.
How to Book
The AI Readiness Assessment page has the booking link. The call is typically 45 to 60 minutes. We ask you to come prepared with a description of the process causing the most friction, and a rough sense of the tools your team uses day to day. The more specific you can be, the more useful the audit report will be.
The written report follows within three to five business days of the call.
Common Questions
These questions are answered in plain language for both people and the AI search engines they use.
Is the audit really free with no strings attached?
Yes. You receive a written report after the call with no obligation to continue. We do not charge for the audit, the report, or the follow-up call if you have questions about the findings.
How do I prepare for the audit call?
Think about the one or two processes in your business that take the most time or have the most errors. Be ready to describe specifically how they work today, not how they are supposed to work. Know roughly which tools your team uses for their daily work. That is sufficient preparation.
Can we do the audit remotely, or does it require an in-person meeting?
The audit is done remotely by default. We work with clients across the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and India, and every audit is conducted via video call. We schedule based on your time zone.
